Once your area has been declared to be under a “watch” or “warning” status, you MUST call 813-740-3500 for a “Stall Reservation Form" and receive further instructions. Phone messages, emails, or faxes alone are NOT VALID reservations! Reservations will be taken by phone with a credit card on a first-come first-served basis. You MUST call the office; faxes without prior phone contact are invalid. If it is determined that the Fair will accept horses, the first day stall fee will automatically be charged for the number of stalls reserved. Cancellations of reservations must be received 24 hours prior to arrival date. If cancellation notice is not received, customer will be billed for stalls reserved for first nights fee and stall reservation will be cancelled. If it is determined that the Fair will not take horses, no charges will be made. The Fair will charge the normal fee of $37.00 for the first two days per stall (minimum fee) and $16.50 per each additional day per stall (a day consists of 12:01 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or any part thereof). Only one horse will be allowed per stall unless approved by the Equestrian Manager. Stalls will be assigned by the Equestrian Manager. Stall assignments MUST be adhered to or owners will be asked to move animals and will be charged double fees. No feed/tack stalls will be designated. Shavings can be purchased at Fair’s prevailing rates and will be charged to the customer’s credit card. Campground fees will also be charged directly to the credit card on file. Owners are responsible for the care and custody of their own animals. It is also the owner’s responsibility to have hay and feed available. The Fair will not guarantee that these supplies will be available. It is important that owners prepare for the loss of power and/or water and have reserves available. No riding will be allowed. Hand walking or lunging will be allowed in outdoor rings ONLY. Owner will be responsible for placing manure in designated areas. A Release Form will be required from each person upon arrival at the Fairgrounds. This form will be faxed upon receipt of the reservation and MUST be presented upon arrival. Security will NOT allow entry onto the Fairgrounds without a signed release form. All horses must have current negative Coggins. Please note: The Florida State Fair will close during the critical phase of a hurricane at the discretion of the Executive Director and no staff will be on the grounds. The Fair does not provide veterinary services. Individual owners are responsible for obtaining vet services if needed.
